Mandy called a rest day. We started by doing an extended gorge walk.  The crocodiles were feeling like showing off, so we would have seen 50 or so lining the banks of the gorge.  The walls were fairly steep and high, but the water was stagnant and patchy so there was no swimming.

We spent the afternoon sitting around the campsite reading.  Ashley decided to be an entrepreneur, and set up a little stand in the campground to sell his rocks and crystals that he had collected so far on the trip.  Despite the big sign, and setting up on the path to the toilet, Mandy was the only buyer.

Another quick walk into the gorge at sunset to see it in subdued colours which was nice.

The campsite was nice with showers, toilets and firewood.  However, it was fairly dusty.

Read in the paper about race riots that occurred in Halls Creek yesterday.  Seems a decision not to stay there was wise.  The police station, police and travellers cars, and the Shell service station where we had afternoon tea were trashed. Two policemen were injured, and residents took up arms to protect their property.
