A school work morning for the boys while we did our big shop and wrote some postcards. After lunch a lovely swim at the beach, before wandering in to town to look at the pearl shops and anything else that took our fancy. Decided against buying Mandy the string of pearls for $160,000. I realise that this may not be a wise move for our marriage, but I'll try to make it up to her some other way. Perhaps she’d like an ice cream.
Forgot to mention that after breakfast we drove down to Gantheaume Point to catch the low tide in order to see some dinosaur footprints in the rocks. They can only be seen at low tide, and are estimated to be 120,000,000 years old. They actually look like large duck web prints. Broome is a funny town in some ways. The only dinosaur prints in Australia, and there is not a street sign that points to it, and when you get there there isn’t a sign, a path or any other information. Everybody asks everybody else we are they are.
