Even Mandy joined us on the beach for our exercise and baseball practice before breakfast this morning.
A fairly short and uneventful drive punctuated by a short shop on the way through Exmouth. Coral Bay is lovely. There are only two caravan parks and a couple of shops built right on the beachfront. Just a short walk across the road and you are on the sand. After lunch we went and bought a set of goggles and snorkels for the boys and headed over to the beach. The reef comes close into shore, and at low tide some of it is only 50 metres from the shore. Brendan had a lovely time swimming over the reef and checking out the fish and coral.
At 4.00pm there was a fish feeding session in the shallows which was much better than Doctors Gully. 60 cm snapper were swimming between your legs to get to the food. Looks like it would be very crowded and busy in the holiday season, but it is great at the moment. The receptionist even offered to give us a site that wasn't on "geriatric lane"!
