Our Sportspower day. Lots of shops in South Australia, so today we visited and photographed Port Augusta and Port Pirie by morning tea. Lunch was at Crystal Brook, then we cut across country to photograph Clare and Gawlor. When we finally reached the edge of Adelaide about 4:00 we tracked down a couple more shops both of which were in shopping centre arcades. That's really fun with the caravan on your back!
Finally back in civilisation, we opted for a caravan park after four nights on the road. Picked a great place. Four stars with two swimming pools, adventure playground, games room, tennis courts, café and licensed bistro. The beach and golf course were next door. It was also across the road from the South Australian softball association ground so we did our baseball practice while keeping an eye on the drills that the experts were doing. There is also a residential softball camp using the caravan park, being school holidays, so there are lots of 16 year old girls ringing home!
Watched some tennis under lights after tea. We are next to the airport, so there’s lots of planes about. The wind and weather are still lousy.
